On the occasion of Hindi Fortnight 2020 various Online Hindi competitions, were
organised as a means to popularise the use of Hindi in BSNL, Chennai Telephones. The
encouraging response to these events was by itself an indicator of the inclination towards
the use of Hindi among the Staff .The following Hindi competitions were conducted.

The prize distribution function was held at the Conference Hall, O/o CGM, Chennai-
10 on 14.10.2020. The Valedictory function of the Hindi Fortnight began with the rendering
of a prayer by Smt Aarthi Sridar, CAO and the audience was addressed by Shri R.Pandian,
DGM(HR&A). The Chief General Manager of Chennai Telephones, Dr. V.K.Sanjeevi, spoke
on the importance of Hindi and appreciated the Officers and staff on their active
participation in the competitions. The 24 th edition of the House journal, “Chennai Vani”
was released on the occasion by the CGM. Smt K.T.Amirthavalli, SHT read out the message
from the Home Minister. The winners of the competitions were honoured by the CGM and
Senior Officers. Smt Deepti.D.Nair, JHT was the compere of the program. Smt K.Mridula,
JHT presented the vote of thanks.
